Moretti Auditorium • Silent Auction volunteers: there will be a Silent Auction meeting on Wednesday, February 10th, at 7:15 pm in the Science Lab. • Again this year, Assumption School’s Silent Auction Committee will offer childcare for parents attending the gala, Saturday, March 13th. Information and sign-up forms will arrive soon. Also, needed are two VIRTUS trained parents who would like service hours to Supervise “Movie Night Under the Big Top.” If you have any questions or need service hours, please contact Ishani Marcelline at (626) 524-6477. • Our magic act was so good we all missed it! • Want to Save Money? ... on your heating bill and also reduce CO2 emissions? Using a programmable thermostat for one month will eliminate 200 lbs of CO2 and save you money. According to U.S. Department of Energy's Energy Information Administration (EIA), the average U.S. household's heating bill has increased 15% over last winter's average total heating bill. The largest increases are in households using heating oil and natural gas. The EIA says you can lower your home heating costs by about 5 percent for every 1 degree lower you set the thermostat.
• Remember don't throw away those Capri Sun pouches! Recycle them. Turn them in to the Library and our school gets $$ for each pouch that's recycled.
